Psychosocial Recovery Coach

 Lavina is a Psychosocial Recovery Coach  and Support Coordinator at BLUE GOOSE, who is passionate about seeing individuals move beyond their symptoms and diagnosis, to produce meaningful and fulfilling outcomes that are important to the individual through hope, empowerment, understanding, education, ongoing collaborative support, and planning. “I have lived experience of Mental illness, which drives my underlying passion to see individuals succeed in their recovery and to make meaningful change towards living a fulfilling life, with or without mental health symptoms present. Recovery is different for everyone, and rarely straight forward. But with the right support, change is possible. I am here to walk alongside you, on your recovery journey to set achievable goals, provide education, reliable support, and real movement towards your recovery goals."

Support Coordinator 

Kelly is experienced working with families linking in with community and supports. She is very passionate about social justice for all people and cultures. "Choice and control to live your best life is very important to me and my role.  I'm passionate about identifying strengths and abilities in people and supporting them where they choose." 

Support  Coordination

I became aware of my passion and purpose in life, for helping those in my local community and surrounds. I have been lucky enough to engage with people of all abilities in this role, and gain a wide understanding of individual needs. I strive to be a top achiever in everything I do, and I love the opportunity that Support Coordination gives me in applying this to achieving the best results I can for my participants. I love being able to apply my creative mind and think outside the box when we are looking for the most efficient ways to support individual needs. I love a challenge and learning new skills. 

As a child, I would spend hours on puzzles. To this day, I am still drawn to solving problems and finding solutions. The work I do nowadays is a great deal more meaningful - but my curiosity, perseverance, and desire for success remain the same.

Plan Management

Phillip has worked in youth and community work for over thirty years. Mainly in residential care for young people  in short and long term accommodation. He has lived with  cerebral palsy his whole life. He has his own NDIS plan, His youngest son is on an NDIS plan. Phillip is part of the plan management and administration  team. He hopes to pass on his knowledge and experience to others. 

Finance Officer   

Kate is a parent of a child with a disability using her talent for problem solving and her accounting qualifications to assist people with a disability and their families to get the very best from their NDIS funding.

Kate loves the way that her Plan Management role brings together her accountancy skills and her passion to help people realise their opportunity and potential.  Kate deep dives into new information, and enjoys investigating the details, rules, and options under NDIS Guidelines.  If there is a better way, Kate will find it.

  Manager

Jen believes that people with a disability have the right to a typical, ordinary, life, with opportunities for satisfying, meaningful employment, a home of their own, friends, and relationships.  She developed BLUE GOOSE to provide career opportunities for women with carer responsibilities, and career opportunities for people with a lived experience of disability.
